But that brings me to the question, if American were to go to war against China, what positive war aims can we expect to achieve when it comes to China?
That’s the right question, but I think the answer is none. We can keep China from conquering the Philippines and Japan and probably Taiwan. But I think we lack the capacity to achieve a positive goal like regime change.
Not that they necessarily want to conquer the Philippines or Japan, but we have treaty obligations to defend them that can’t be ignored.
